[ Hanako is quiet on the roof, as opposed to most other times, silent in the darkness under the canopy of stars overhead. He likes the school even more when it's at night, when all the students go home and the building is dark and peaceful, abandoned save for himself and whoever else like perching up on high places. He's absorbed in the stars above, to the point that he wouldn't hear anybody who approaches.
Unless they come up going "Meow meowmeow meow meow meow~" maybe. ]
[Nighttime is primetime for certain people in certain professions, and Hans is certainly no exception!
For once, you won't hear him meowing in the distance -- nor even approaching -- either by force of habit or by way of mischief he prowls under cover of darkness with nary a sound, not even a swish despite the impracticality of his outfit. Maybe one of the abilities that come with fantasy bullshit is fantasy bullshit stealth.
All that is to say, Hanako may not spot his companion until something dark blots out some stars, and then it's the flashing white of the Cheshire grin that he opts to show.]
Quite a fine night for stargazin', meow. They changed up the whole sky, too, while they were at it.
[ He blinks fast when the stars disappear, immediately assuming the worst and having to quickly sweep that thought from his mind. ]
You can tell?
[ As in, you can also tell? because it's something Hanako made a note of almost immediately, trying to find some comfort in the familiar and finding that even the stars have been changed on him ]
'Course. There ain't many things much better than lookin' up at a sky that's nothin' but stars in a little town out in the meowntains or the fields somewhere.
[The Cheshire grin spreads wider momentarily at his exclamation before curving in a friendlier way, the shadow creeping closer until it resolves itself into a caped not-quite-crusader wandering between the stars.
Hans perches himself comfortably next to wherever Hanako is -- looks like he's even brought a bite to snack on, something crunchy and handy that muffles his words.]
There ain't a set of stars in the sky I don't call by some name. [though he is not saying he goes with the conventional names] There ain't enough of 'em down here in the city anyway.
