Tama can try all she wants, but not only does the scene remain, but somewhere halfway through it, Hanako's hanging off her shoulders trying to throw himself into the scene. A lot of this he already knew about Ryuki: that he takes on so much, overexerts himself, bottles things up inside... The incongruency between what Tama says and how she says it... ]

[ she hates ryuki about as much as nico hates will, and i love this scene because it’s so cute cries. also aaaaggghhhhh, she’s being climbed on. at some point she’ll shift her arms so she can support hanako so he doesn’t fall, or cling onto her neck and throttle her. ]

Maybe I ended up putting more pressure on him than I meant to. I don't know. It's not like I was able to help him anyway.

[ He's a detective. He's an adult. This is literally his job. Maybe they've all been pressuring him more than they realize. Accusing people out of nowhere and asking somebody to stab him probably doesn't help either. ]

I'm sure you helped him. Look at the way he was smiling... I've never seen him do that, before.

I don't think he's had a lot to smile about, since he got here. A lot about this place goes against how he wants to help people.

He can understand how hard the rest of the week can be, though, how the trials make a mockery of his profession and sense of justice. ]

It's to do with our work. A way of getting clues and leads where normal people can't.

Even if he tries hard to think about it and put context together, all he can really think is "psynch" being like linking, linking machine... ??? handcuffing somebody to you and threatening to break their wrist if they don't tell you the truth ]

Sadly, no. It'd make the trials a lot more interesting, as we could kinda dig around for more clues with it but... I don't think the Amazoom system would cover the entire network we'd need to pull it off.

What if each of us asks for a small part of the system? There should be parts of it that can be found anywhere, and I've got lots of tokens from doing my homework!

I'm proud of you for doing your homework, but there's no way I could put together a Psync machine by myself. I'd need the guy who maintains it to make sure nothing broke or went wrong in the setup...

We could Amazoom an instruction manual... I'm pretty good at putting things back together.

If you can put together a Psync machine, I think Pewter would have a job for you. Several jobs.
