[ sometime... after the curse text thread... He's going to give it a couple hours and hopes it's worn off.

Anyways, he sends her a text, with a picture of the beach during sunset as the attachment. ]

[has it worn off. it's a mystery.

she will head down the beach to find him! she's wearing ace's hat, and reigen's stupid macy's grey suit jacket, and she's barefoot, wandering through the waves. she pauses when she sees him, frowning.]

[ Nimona slowly replacing her wardrobe with her dead friends' clothes... she can have Hanako's hat too when he's dead.

Hanako's not dressed for the beach at all, still wearing shoes and socks and everything, but he's up sitting on top of the breakwater rocks, about to wave his arm over his head when he sees Nimona but then he sees the frown and lower his hand again.

lil thought bubble above his head goes "oh ):" ]

[he will never die in this game he literally got away with murder

the ): thought bubble gets her to go over to the rocks anyway, and crawl up - she's healed, now, though she's heavily scarred in places. she flops down next to him, and pushes his arm gently.]

Don't get all sad, I just don't want you to have to deal with my dumb thought bubbles.

[ maybe everybody will change their mind if he causes a five body pile up ]

It's fine! We'll just not look at each other.

[ Sit side by side, stare out into the ocean instead. They don't have to read. ]

[fair she will try her best to forget to see]

No. I can't apologize to you because I don't know what to apologize for and it's driving me nuts.

It's driving you nuts that you haven't done anything wrong to apologize for?

[ isn't that a good thing? he doesn't like sorries anyways, doesn't know what to do with them ]

I'm cursed to say sorry, so yes.

[ Hmm...

Hanako stands up suddenly, arms spread to either side of him. ]

Alright! Go ahead!

[ shove him over ]

[she goes ?????? - actually he can probably see the question marks over her head in a thought bubble.]

What are you doing.

[ T-posing ]

Giving you something to apologize to me for.

[sharkgirl]

[a pause

and then she reaches up and honks his nose between her thumb and her forefinger.]

Bwah—-

[ He jerks his head back in surprise, and is only saved from falling into the ocean because his arms are already out and able to help regain his balance ]

What was that?!

[sharkgirl]

[she makes grabby hands at him when he looks like he's about to fall, trying to snatch his shirt so he doesn't topple, and once he's stable, she lifts an eyebrow at him.]

Sorry I grabbed your nose. [there!]

[ the thought bubble above his head goes "are you though" but Nimona's not supposed to look at him ]

If it makes you feel better... I thought people would lay off the curses after the weekend. Do you have enemies, Nimona? I'll beat them up with you.

[she is looking at him but she will not comment on his thoughts because she is polite, sometimes. like 1% of the time]

I don't really get why someone decided to make me apologize. [jiiiiiiii] All my enemies are dead.

[hanaban]

Somebody thought you did something wrong? Or, maybe I'm just looking too much into it.

[ It can't be that deep. He'd read through Nimona's apologies to everybody else and they weren't that serious. What does she have to apologize for anyways? what happened over the weekend? ]

[she looks out at the ocean, adjusting her hat.]

Maybe someone was mad because I didn't want Ace to get caught. Or maybe they just picked whoever they thought was funniest, I guess.

[ Neither did a lot of people, but they aren't out there making forced public apologies ]

I'd rather hear an apology from Danny. [ his petty grudge... ] ...but he said you two are friends. Are you?

[sharkgirl]

[she looks amused, tapping his hat.]

He said that? [...] I guess if he thinks we are then... yeah.

[it's hard to think that anybody would want to be, is the thing. but that's not important.]

What'd he do to make you after him so much, huh?

Yeah. When Saya was getting on his case on Saturday.

As for why he doesn't like Danny, he falls silent for a moment. It's not like he has to think about it— he had been thinking, but his reason isn't a great one. ]

[ And Nimona was so uncomfortable in her own skin, it was hard to see, and she wouldn't even let him stab Danny to see if that'd reverse it ]

[there's a brief thought of something kind of squiggly, like - oh, that makes me feel cared about in a vague sense.]

I was really mad at him. [she says, finally.] But he and I have some stuff in common. So I didn't feel like I could stay that way.

[a beat.]

You can keep doing whatever you're doing, though, I think it's funny. [sorry danny she supports hanako being a gremlin]

He and I have lots of stuff in common, but I'm still mad at him.

[ this is him and Danny sometimes ]

...I guess not so much "mad" as "frustrated," though. He's the only one who doesn't play along with me.

[ and when he's used to being a spoiled brat who can violence anybody into getting his way, that's frustrating ]
