Hanako will gladly smash rocks, though. He's stronger than he looks, hitting them hard enough to shatter more often than not, and he doesn't swing it like one would a baseball bat but instead with one hand, like slashing with a knife
[ She's helping. There's no one else he can ask, after all, who would do this with him, throwing rock after rock after rock until he exhausts himself enough to just fall asleep right there, on the grass under the stars ]
[when he flops over, she pauses - and then shifts into a fox. a little pink one. she makes her way over to him, and curls up against his side and takes a nap with him. for a while, anyway.
