You starfish if you want to float in place. Otherwise you kick and use your arms to move because the propulsion should keep you afloat. As long as you don’t go too deep.

Oh... I thought it'd be easier when the water is deeper.

[ making mental notes. he is definitely going to use this knowledge later when he pushes Nimona into the ocean and yells at her to starfish herself ]

What do you do when it's too deep?

[ be nice to nimona, except she’d probably love the chaos so do it. ]

Hopefully you won’t be in that position anyway, because treading water is trying. But really, you’ve gotta let yourself float.

Okay. And then what? You're floating in the middle of the ocean and all you see around you is water. You have no food and you can't manifest apples, and it's quickly getting cold and dark. What do you do?

[ Freeze to death? ]

Hope that someone called a lifeboat or that there's a boat nearby...

There's no boats nearby, and you don't have a phone or flares or anything to contact the outside world with. It's only you and the ocean, the dark clouds above heralding a storm...

And then, there's a shark!!

Maybe you could befriend the shark? They're pretty intelligent creatures, not mindless body chompers. Then the shark could help you find your way back to land!
