If we've got anything with enough firepower, I'd say it's best to take out the moon before it gets the chance to spring something like this on us again.
It's nothing special, really. I think any kid who looks up at the night sky would dream about touching the stars someday.

Each one of those stars is like our sun, and many have planets that orbit it just like ours. Knowing that there's so many different galaxies makes the universe seem soooo big! You can't help but imagine all the different worlds, all the new sights, all the infinite possibilities...
... Yeah. [she stares up at the sky, pointedly ignoring the stupid moon for now, thinking. her expression is a bit morose.] I bet there are more worlds out there than we can imagine. And other people, too. I wonder what they're doing right now.

You said you wanted to be an astronaut when you were little. But that makes it sound like you don't want to, anymore.

I... don't know. [...] There's probably a reason I was born. But I've never really thought that I would get to be anything. Planning for the future felt... impossible.
... I sort of get that. Even though I had that dream, it's not like it was ever going to be a reality. Eventually, I couldn't see any sort of future— where I would be in a year, or a month, or a week.

I guess it worked out, though. I no longer have a future, after all.
