Not the whole being a student and having to sit through lessons thing, but that feeling of being in school and ... playing cards and chopping trees or whatever he usually does at school. ]

It looks so... normal...

I got a talking to from my team earlier, but nothing too harsh. Everybody else just wanted to make sure I was okay. Isn't that weird?

[ danny is in the tarkea, now (mostly) washed of all the orange paint, and his sour attitude seems to have gone away, as he stares deeply, intently into a couch cushion. ]

Hanako sneaks up behind him, hoping Danny's still preoccupied so he can slowly... quietly...

bop him on the top of the head with another cushion ]

[ well Danny just barely notices the movement behind him in time, whirling around and. arm chopping the incoming cushion! ]

[ What he did?? that was just pre-emptive self-defense from rabid Danny bites. For a second, he looks like he wants to argue, but the bite's gone and he just humphs instead ]

[ hello, we are doing the avoiding each other tango! y'know, until we're not, and danny and hanako encounter each other on the street. before danny can get away though, a memory springs to life before hanako.

and as that one fizzles out...another one appears! (10:00 - 12:40) Partially because the first one is kinda short but mostly to add insult to injury. ]

There's a bit of a whiplash going from the first memory straight into the second, but clowns? circus? he guesses this is just the timeline they're in!! To have the sheer confidence and power stripped away from him the instant he becomes a clown's puppet, is one thing, but staring your friend in the face and slicing her lifeline short right then and there?

The memory ends just as Hanako's able to fight off the mind control, arm darting out to grab at a nonexistent Sam and instead slapping Danny in the face. ]

[ help we're not even reliving mems we're just watching them on magic floating comic book panels, but i guess hanako is really fuckin into it, and it's easier to focus on getting slapped than All Of That, so. ]

[ he knows hanako doesn't like him, but he didn't think it was in the fill-you-with-dread kind of way. ]

[ well once Danny has been deprinnied, he is now a MAN ON A MISSION. he hunts down this child slowly and methodically. And at the movie theater, he finally strikes.

Before Hanako can enter the theater to watch the Shrek and Bee Movie mutual sequel, which is what i've decided is in theaters and what he wants to see, Danny will yank him from behind and pull him through a wall into some. idk, theater storage room or something

and then immediately make Hanako tangible again so he can slam the child right up against the wall. The vibes are here and they are immediately murderous. ]

[ THROUGH A WALL it's nostalgic, and so is somebody trying to kill him, actually. His back slams against the wall, disappointingly, and knocks the air out of his lungs so he can't even go "WHAT THE FUCK, DANNY"
